The Origin

The Accident
That Wasn't

For the longest time, my sister had been nudging me to set up a simple Instagram page so she could share and sell her baked goods.

Like any good brother, I kept putting it off, promising we'd get to it "sometime soon."

Then, one ordinary day, a single word popped into my head: Cookian.

Intrigued by the name, I sat down and sketched out a quick, rough logo. The moment it took shape on my screen, everything changed. It wasn't just a casual weekend project anymore; it was an instant realization that we had stumbled onto something incredibly special. I immediately texted the logo to my sister with a simple question: "50/50 partners?," Her reply was instant:"Done."

Just like that, a lingering favor transformed overnight into an absolute obsession with creating the perfect cookie experience.

We traded the casual Instagram idea for a fully-fledged partnership built on passion, grit, and a mutual love for incredible baking. We didn't just set out to open a bakery; we set out to build a legacy, one perfect batch at a time. Welcome to Cookian.

Mugga · Spelled Exactly As She Heard It
If you're wondering where the name Cookian actually comes from, it all goes back to a hilarious family insider joke. Someone had asked my little cousin how to spell "Mugga" — the common word we all use in Pakistan for a steel mug. With ultimate confidence, she dictated it out loud: M · U · G · گا. That exact moment and the brilliant way she blended the English letters with the Urdu sound became an instant family classic. Years later, when I was trying to find the perfect identity for our brand, this came to my mind. I wanted that exact same playful, authentic energy. By taking the English word Cookie and giving it that localized Urdu twist:          C · O · O · K · یاں
Cookian was born. The moment the name and the logo clicked together, I knew it was something deeply meaningful and absolutely worth holding onto.
The Beginning

Launched Under
the Moon

We soft launched in Ramadan — not because we planned it that way, but because that's just when everything came together. And there's something about that month that makes even small things feel intentional, like they were always meant to happen exactly then.

Then on Eid ul Fitr 2025, surrounded by new clothes and family and the smell of something sweet, we properly opened our doors. Cookian was official.

The crescent moon in our logo wasn't a design choice we debated over. It was a memory. It was always going to be there.

The breakdown was simple from day one: my sister had the incredible recipes, and I had the name, a little bit of experience, and a tiny handful of resources to get us off the ground. But a great story doesn't stop where it starts. Recently, our duo became a trio. We welcomed our third partner into the fold—a childhood friend so close to us that the word "friend" doesn't even cut it anymore; at this point, he is family. He joined the mission because he shares that exact same, rare level of obsession. Now, Cookian is driven by three people who quite literally care too much about cookies to ever let a bad one leave our kitchen. We aren't just running a business; we're protecting a standard.

The Biggest Cookie Brand

From day one, the goal was never to be a nice little local bakery. The goal was — and still is — to be the biggest cookie brand in the world. With an F1 team. With shelves in cities we've never even visited. With a name people recognize in Tokyo, London, and Lahore.

You will never find Cookian at cheap prices. Not because we want to feel exclusive — but because cutting the price has always meant cutting something else. And that something else is always quality. We've seen it happen everywhere else. We refuse to let it happen here.
